Nick Jonas is looking back at a terrifying ordeal he experienced with Glen Powell.

During a June 5 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the Jonas Brothers musician was asked about the time years ago that he and the Set It Up actor unexpectedly trauma bonded through "a harrowing experience on a flight," per People.

"So this is almost 10 years ago, probably. We were in Vegas together with a group of friends, and on the way home, the plane basically took off and then — I don't know the technical term for it — but there was an issue with the power. Which is never a good thing, obviously," he said, adding, "And this is pre-Top Gun: Maverick Glen Powell, so he was in flight training, but he couldn't have landed the plane like he can now."

The Hey Jonas! podcast host joked that the Chad Powers star was "just regular old Glen Powell" at the time and that if the troubled flight were to have happened recently, it would have been a "different story." One good result from the experience, however, is that the pair were able to start building a "great friendship."

Jonas confirmed that they were all okay after the "frightening experience," only realizing exactly how "bad" it was after the fact when he noticed how the pilot and flight crew reacted, notably, that "one of [the pilots] was crying when we landed" and the flight attendants "looked concerned."

"I was thinking, 'Okay, maybe it wasn't as bad as I sort of felt like it was.' And then I saw him crying. I was like, 'Oh no, this was bad,'" he said, adding, "It was one of those experiences you never forget."
