Red Hot Chili Peppers Challenge Fans to Give Their Best Flea Impressions

Flea is known for his amazing bass face and laying down some tasty riffs, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are teaming up with Fender to see what fan can best emulate the iconic bass player.

The rock legend himself announced the contest through a video on the band's Twitter, encouraging "you kids out there" as well as "old people who are so old that when they fart dust comes out" to participate in the competition.

"Want to win a @flea333 Signature Active Jazz Bass? Film and post a video showing your own 'Flea-Inspired' bass riff to your IG feed. Tag @Fender and #FleaBassRiffContest! One Grand Prize Winner will receive a Flea Signature Active Jazz Bass," the accompanying post reads. The yellow-haired rocker, of course, participates himself in the clip, improvising a better bass riff than most people could ever come up with, no matter how much time they had.

Check out the announcement below.

RCHP have a busy year ahead of them. They've been hard at work on their 12th studio album; they were recently announced as a Grammys performer, and they'll be rockin' out at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt in March (which is a BIG deal).
