Today is National No Bra Day
October 13th is National No Bra Day! As you might’ve guessed, this day is all about the ladies (well, sort of...but more on that in a moment)...though not for the reason you might expect. This National Day is meant to promote breast cancer awareness and to help raise money for research.
Many women who have survived breast cancer are unable to go without a bra as they need it to hold their prosthesis after surgery. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and No Bra Day should serve as a reminder for all women to be screened for breast cancer – if you haven’t already, scheduled that mammogram!

But guys?
While the focus is on women and breast cancer, don’t think that because you don’t have tatas that you’re not also at risk. Just ask Matthew Knowles – aka Beyonce’s dad. He recently came out to talk about his own breast cancer diagnosis.
While not as common as breast cancer in women, it would behoove you to be aware of your pecs – specifically, any weird lumps or bumps.
