BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Patriots over the Rams 13-3 in the lowest scoring Super Bowl ever—but, who cares about that? The Pats came out on top!
Julian Edelman won M-V-P honors, but the defense could’ve received the award as a unit – and Stephon Gilmore was a big part of the reason.
"The coaches had a great game plan for us, you know?" Gilmore said. "Each game it changes, you can't really go in and say 'we're going to play this'—you play what the team does best. I think the coaches put us in a great position to make plays."
The corner intercepted Jared Goff with about four minutes left and the Pats up seven points. That basically sealed the win.

The Patriots beat the Rams in Super Bowl LIII. Boston will hold a parade on Tuesday.
Gilmore told WBZ TV he wouldn’t be denied.
"I knew it was mine," he said. "I saw it the whole time, I didn't take my eyes off of it ... I saw it before him, I can't believe he threw it because I was looking at him the whole time."
Gilmore said he’s thrilled to be a Patriot.
"I come into this organization where they grind every day, nothing is handed to you," he said. "It made me a better player, it made me a better person, and I'm happy I'm here."
And now the former Bill has his first ring.
