Beyonce Remixes J Balvin's 'Mi Gente' For Hurricane And Earthquake Relief

It's been a quiet summer on the music front for Beyoncé, especially considering that she gave birth to twins, but Thursday night (September 28) saw the pop titan jump back onto the scene with a sizzling remix of J Balvin and Willy William's mega-hit "Mi Gente."

Best part of it all? Proceeds from her remix are going to hurricane and earthquake relief charities, including CEMA, UNICEF and Somos Una Voz for Puerto Rico, Mexico and other affected Caribbean islands.

On the almost four-minute mix, the pop titan offers up some Spanglish lyrics, trading lines back and forth with the Latin chart-topper. "He say my body stay wetter than the ocean/ And he say that creole in my body is like a potion/ I can be a beast oh I can give you emotion," she sings during the second verse. Bey's remix of "Mi Gente" arrived with a lyric video, which shows dancers of all kinds. Click here for more information.

"Mi Gente" has already seen star-studded remixes from the likes of Cedric Gervais and Hardwell. Take a listen to both the original and Beyoncé's remix of "Mi Gente" below!

Despite rumors that she was set to headline a hurricane relief show with JAY-Z, the pop titan's rep nixed the idea in an exclusive statement to New York Daily News. "A rep for the singer denied an Us Weekly report from earlier Thursday that claimed Beyoncé and her rapper husband, JAY-Z, would team up for a benefit concert in New York in support of those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma," the statement read.
