'AT40' Recap: There's a New #1 on the Chart This Week

This week we say goodbye to Cardi B and Bruno Mars' '90s R&B inspired collab, "Please Me." This is officially the second time that Cardi and Bruno have worked together. They collaborated for the first time on their hit single "Finesse," which went all the way to #1 in April of 2018.

The only debut this week is "Woke Up Late" by Drax Project featuring Hailee Steinfeld. Drax Project is one of the few acts from New Zealand, following artists like Lorde, Daniel Bedingfield, Keith Urban, Crowded House, Gale Garnett and OMC.

And the biggest mover of the week is "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X, leaping 15 spots – tying it with Ariana Grande’s "7 rings" as the two fastest risers of 2019. How far will "Old Town Road" travel up the chart? Find out in the weeks to come!

This week Ellie Goulding and Diplo drop one spot to #3 with "Close To Me" featuring Swae Lee.

Last week, Ariana Grande was spending a 5th week at #1 with "7 rings," making it the longest running #1 song so far in 2019, and the most weeks at #1 since "Happier" by Marshmello & Bastille late last year. This week she is down one spot to #2.

And we have a new #1 this week!

The Jonas Brothers score the top spot with "Sucker." This is their first #1 hit on AT40. Nick Jonas reached the top as a solo artist in 2015 with "Jealous" and Joe Jonas came close in 2016 with DNCE and their hit “Cake By The Ocean,” which reached #2.
