'AT40' Recap: Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber Have the Highest Debut of the Week

This week we say goodbye to three tracks. "Better Now" by Post Malone, Lil Peep and iLoveMakonnen's collab "I've been Waiting" featuring Fall Out Boy and Drax Project's "Woke Up Late" featuring Hailee Steinfeld.

New to the chart this week we have "So Close," and it may be an AT40 first. It’s by four acts who all come from different countries: NOTD (Sweden), Felix Jaehn (Germany), Captain Cuts (USA) and Georgia Ku (UK).

Lizzo scores her first AT40 hit with her retro-inspired funk-pop song "Juice," debuting at #39.

And Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber come in at #16 with "I Don’t Care," giving them the second highest debut so far in 2019. Only "ME!" by Taylor Swift featuring Brendon Urie (#10) has come in higher. How high will "I Don’t Care" go? Find out in the weeks to come!

Fun fact! Aside from English, we have two hits moving up the chart that are partially sung in another language. Daddy Yankee does some Spanish in "Con Calma," and BTS sing Korean in "Boy With Luv." The last time this happened was in January of 2018 when BTS was in the Top 40 with "Mic Drop" while J Balvin, Willy William and Beyoncé had "Mi Gente."

This week in the Top 3, Ava Max moves up another spot coming in at #3 with "Sweet But Psycho." Sam Smith and Normani continue to hold at #2 with "Dancing With a Stranger." And the Jonas Brothers stay at #1 with "Sucker" for a fifth week, tying them with Ariana Grande's "7 rings" as the longest running #1 song so far in 2019.
