'AT40' Recap: The Biggest Songs of the Decade

As we come to the end of a decade, this week on AT40 we take a look back at the biggest songs of the 2010s.

Some of the acts that dominated the charts include Maroon 5, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry.

M5 definitely gave us some great music over the past ten years and not surprisingly a few of those songs made the cut with "One More Night" coming it at #5, "Girls Like You" featuring Cardi B also in the Top 10 at #7 and "Animals" holding down the #25 spot.

Bruno also had three songs included in the biggest songs of the decade, "Locked Out of Heaven," "Grenade" and "Uptown Funk!" with Mark Ronson.

But Katy was the queen of the decade chart with five songs making the list: "E.T." featuring Kanye West, "Dark Horse," California Gurls" featuring Snoop Dogg, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) and "Roar."

And now, the moment you've been waiting for ... the Top 3 songs of the decade are, *drumroll*

The Chainsmokers come in at #3 with "Closer" featuring Halsey. While The Wanted made their mark with "Glad You Came" landing at #2, which first appeared on the chart all they way back in 2012.

And Ed Sheeran may had a lot of hits over the past ten years, but he only had one that made the list and it just so happens to be the biggest song of the decade, "Shape Of You." The ballad debuted back in January of 2017 and spent 40 weeks on the chart including 9 weeks at #1.
