Juice WRLD's First Posthumous Track 'Righteous' Is Here

Juice WRLD's family released the late rapper's first posthumous track on Friday (April 24).

"Righteous" comes nearly five months after the 21-year-old's sudden death. The song was announced on social media Thursday (April 23) with a message from Juice's mother, Carmela Wallace.

"Juice was a prolific artist who dedicated his life to making music. Choosing how to share his upcoming music with the world has been no easy feat," read the post in part. "Honoring the love Juice felt for his fans while shining a light on his talents and his spirit are the most important parts of this process to us."

"Righteous" was recorded in Juice's home studio in Los Angeles. As fans know, Juice teased the track on social media last Summer. A version of it later leaked online, shortly after Juice's death.

On Thursday, Juice's girlfriend Ally Lotti tweeted about how much the song meant to Juice, writing, "ill never forget that night 🙏🏽💔 we played this over n over the next couple weeks. . it’s a very emotional song for me to listen to but i kno how much we both loved it and i kno how much j would b proud of this. all of yal, all of us 🖤."

The Chicago rapper passed away on December 8 after reportedly going into cardiac arrest at the Chicago Midway International Airport.
