Deftones Unveil New Single 'Ohms,' New Music Video

The Deftones have released their first piece of new music in four years from their forthcoming new album, Ohms.

The album's title track hit streaming services early Friday and a new music video premiered on YouTube at midnight.

Fans have been intensely watching the band's social media feed for clues about the long-awaited new album.

The band made news earlier this week when frontman Chino Moreno accidentally revealed the name of the album in an interview.

Along with the title track, the band announced that the album Ohms would arrive in a little over a month on September 25. Pre-order the new album here.

Deftones had been working on Ohms at their own pace for the past few years. The band reportedly recorded most of the instrumental tracks for the album last summer and then completed the vocals sometime this year. They put the final touches on the album this spring.

Moreno revealed in a recent interview with Kerrang! that guitarist Stephen Carpenter sent the initial demo for "Ohms" to the band back in 2017.

Carpenter admitted that he had reduced involvement in the writing of the band's 2016 album Gore, due to personal reasons. But Moreno says the full band was engaged, excited and ready to make the new album this time around.
