Harry Styles and his family are mourning the loss of his maternal grandfather. Harry's mom, Anne Twist, shared the news her father, Brian Selley, passed away on Monday (August 24).
“My heart is broken once more… our family has been reeling from the loss of our Dad / Grandad / brother / friend," Anne wrote in a since-deleted tweet. "Dad you were so brave and courageous, always smiling and with a sharp and witty comment at just the right time."
"We love you totally and forever. Sleep sweetly you beautiful man. Go be with Mum xxx,” she concluded. Her heartfelt tribute also included a photo of her and Brian sharing a hug.
Harry's older sister, Gemma Styles, also paid tribute to her late grandfather on Instagram. Alongside two sweet family photos, Gemma wrote: "Rest easy Grandad, effortless comic and all-around wonderful man."
At this time, Harry has not commented publicly on the loss of his grandfather. The former One Direction singer hasn't posted on social media since announcing tour dates last month.
Back in 2017, Anne gushed to The Sun about her children's close bond with her dad. "They have been absolutely brilliant," she said of Harry and Gemma being there for Brian amid his Parkinson's disease diagnosis. "They love him to death and he is so proud of them."
