Miley Cyrus Reveals Surprising Meaning Behind 'Endless Summer Vacation'

Miley Cyrus really leaned into the summer getaway mindset when naming her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, the Plastic Hearts singer explained the surprising reason she named her eighth studio album what she did, telling host Jimmy Fallon that with a name like Endless Summer Vacation, she could take it easy while promoting the project.

"I cleverly titled my last album Endless Summer Vacation so then I could be on "vacation" and that could be part of my aesthetic," she said. "So all I had to do was take pictures of me in a bathing suit and be like, 'ESV!' and that was the promo."

Cyrus, who also recently addressed rumors that the music video for ESV's lead single "Flowers" dissed Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence, said the strategy left fans a bit confused. However, it was all for a good reason as she was busy at work on her next project.

"All my fans were like, 'You're not promoting this album!' I was like, 'I'm making the next one, people!'" she explained, referring to her ninth studio album Something Beautiful, which dropped last month.

Cyrus also made headlines this week during a record signing event when she appeared to throw shade at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, penning a cheeky message to a fan who shares the same first name.
