Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel Learning 'New Normal' Amid Health Struggle

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are figuring out what life looks like now that he is battling Lyme disease.

An insider recently to Us Weekly that the Better Sister actress has been standing strong for her husband and their family, which includes sons Silas, 10, and Phineas, 5, after Timberlake revealed his diagnosis earlier this year.

"Jessica has been extremely supportive of Justin's health and wellness," the source said. "They're both strong people, and they're great at finding a good balance for both of their needs."

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Lyme disease is often caused by tick bites and can cause a rash, fever, chills fatigue and muscle aches during early stages and severe headaches, neck stiffness, intermittent pain, heart palpitations, dizziness, facial palsy and more in later symptoms days to months after the initial bite.

"She's been incredibly emotionally supportive when he needs her," the source added. "They're navigating Justin's new normal very well... The family cherishes their time with each other more than ever."

Their extended family have also been a great support system for the couple, lifting up the "Selfish" singer as focuses on his health, with the insider saying, "He has so much love around him and everyone's just praying for his healing, for a full recovery."

Shortly after wrapping up his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in July, Timberlake shared that he had been battling the "relentlessly debilitating" medical condition behind the scenes that affected him "both mentally and physically." He later shared an update how how he was handling the disease, appearing in good spirits as he gave fans a look at his post-tour schedule that was much less grueling than his time on the road.
