Dancing with the Stars got more scares than expected for this week's Halloween Night episode.

Contestant and Parent Trap actress Elaine Hendrix, 54, was hospitalized after suffering a rib injury during rehearsals, causing her and pro partner Alan Bersten to miss out on Tuesday's (October 28) Halloween-themed dance night, per Page Six.

In a video shared to her Instagram, Hendrix explained that she hurt her ribs while she and Bersten danced to "Defying Gravity" during the previous performance and the injury made itself known during rehearsals when they "just seized up." Noting that she "couldn't move," Hendrix was carried out on a stretcher and taken to a hospital to be assessed.

Hendrix added in the caption that she was "beyond excited" to show fans what she and Bersten had planned for Halloween week and was "devastated" to have missed out on it. However, all hope is not lost as she "[wants] nothing more" than to be "back in the ballroom next week."

Hendrix and Bersten were judged on their rehearsal performance, earning a 32 out of 40 for their Argentine tango to "Bad to the Bone" as well as well-wishes from the judges hoping to see Hendrix return to the ballroom.

The rib injury wasn't the only malady she was pushing through this week. According to People, Hendrix also revealed in rehearsals that dancing barefoot during last week's show "ripped half the skin" off her right foot because of her "titanium joint" and joked that it was a "ghoulish" look fit for Halloween night.
