Kim Kardashian may be one of the most famous faces around today but there was a time where she had to plot for attention from the paparazzi.
The SKIMS founder joined her sister Khloé Kardashian on a recent episode of her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast where she detailed a time in the early 2000s that she and longtime friend Jonathan Cheban came up with an idea to get a bigger taste of fame, per Page Six.
"[Fame] is all I wanted," she said. "I lived for it."
The pair were eating dinner together in New York City when Cheban learned that Kim's pal Britney Spears was staying a hotel nearby. They saw an opportunity to be seen near Spears' location so they asked a man also dining with them if they could "get a ride to our hotel" in his Phantom Rolls-Royce.
The man agreed and she and Cheban sat in the back seat of the vehicle to make it seem like they had a driver, even when they themselves "could hardly even get a cab." When they arrived at the hotel, they saw "paparazzi everywhere waiting for Britney" and caught their eye.
"They come out, and they're like, 'Kim, Kim, are you here to visit Britney?' And Jonathan's like, 'Keep your head down and just shut up,'" she recalled. "So we go inside, we go into a phone booth because we're like, 'We don't know anyone at this hotel. We don't even know if there is a hotel bar for us to walk in.'"
After waiting around for 20 minutes, Kim and Cheban left the booth and passed the paps as they left the hotel and fielded questions asking how the "Toxic" singer was.
"We... took a cab, I think from that point, because this Rolls Royce person dropped us off, but [the paps] weren't going to take pictures of us getting in, so we totally scammed the system," she said, revealing how that ultimately was the case. "And it was on every cover, and we thought we were killing it."
Elsewhere in the chat, Kim also made rare comments about Taylor Swift years after their feud hit its peak.
