Britney Spears reportedly earned a big payday after selling her music catalog.

The pop icon, known for hits like "... Baby One More Time," "Toxic," "Gimme More" and "Oops!... I Did It Again!," sold the rights to her vast catalog to music publisher Primary Wave on December 30, according to documents obtained by TMZ on Tuesday (February 10). Primary Wave also owns the catalogs of other legendary artists, such as Whitney Houston, Prince, Stevie Nicks and Bob Marley, according to People.

While the price tag for the move was not initially known, a source speaking with anonymity said the deal was made for approximately $200 million, according to NBC News. The number echoes that described by TMZ when sources said the "landmark deal" was similar to that of Justin Bieber, who sold his catalog for $200 million in a "historic deal" in 2022.

The news comes less than two weeks after the "Lucky" hitmaker said she was "incredibly lucky" to be alive after years of family drama and reflected on feelings of loneliness and yearning for connection.

"As people, all we really want is to feel connected to each other and never feel alone ... for those of you in your family that have said to help you is to isolate you and make you feel unbelievably left out ... they were wrong," she said. "We can forgive as people but u don't every forget. Yearning and longing for contact is always crucial !!!"
