Ariana Grande is shouting her support for Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo.

The Eternal Sunshine musician celebrated the opening of Erivo's one-woman play Dracula, which premiered Tuesday (February 17) on West End in London at the Noël Coward Theatre, by sharing a a special message for her friend, per People. On Wednesday, Grande took to her Instagram Stories to praise Erivo's efforts in the show written by Kip Williams, in which Erivo plays 23 different characters alone on stage in a unique twist on the classic Dracula story.

"absolutely @cynthiaerivo," she wrote. "congratulations my brilliant, unstoppable friend."

Erivo later reshared Grande's post, matching the love sent her way and sweetly replying, "Thank you 🥹❤️ I love you!!" She previously shared that she was "petrified" to return to the stage in the demanding new show, her first theater role since her Tony Award-winning performance in the 2015 revival of The Color Purple, People reports.

Grande and Erivo forged a strong friendship on set, starring opposite as Glinda and Elphaba in 2024's Wicked and its 2025 sequel Wicked: For Good. Erivo even jumped in to protect Grande last year when an overzealous fan, who was later arrested, charged at her while they walked the red carpet at the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore.

"I was really thinking, I just wanted to make sure my friend was safe," Erivo later told Today of her quick reaction. "I'm sure he didn't mean us harm, but I just, you know, you never know with those things and I wanted to make sure that she was okay. That was my first instinct."
