Katy Perry has found common ground with her boyfriend Justin Trudeau's son.
The former Canadian prime minister's oldest son Xavier, 18, shared what he thinks of his dad's relationship with the "Woman's World" singer in a recent Instagram video with creator G Hobs, per People. When addressing the "elephant in the room" of whether or not he has met his dad's new girlfriend, Xavier confirmed that he has and that the "Firework" singer has even given him some advice about his own musical aspirations.
"She's cool, she's nice," he said, adding that they "talked for hours, talking about my music" and that "she gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff."
Trudeau shares Xavier as well as daughter Ella-Grace, 17, and son Hadrian, 11, with estranged wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. The former couple announced their separation in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage, People reports. Perry is a mom to 5-year-old daughter Daisy, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom. The pair split in 2025 after more than eight years together and are said to be focused on co-parenting their daughter.
Perry first sparked romance rumors with Trudeau in summer of 2025, shortly after she split from Bloom, and the relationship has reportedly blossomed into "something real." She confirmed their relationship in December, going Instagram official when she shared several photos from her Lifetimes tour, including snaps of her and Trudeau enjoying time together in Tokyo.
