Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez's wedding was a special day spent being celebrated by their loved ones. Among the famous guests that attended the nuptials, such as Gomez's Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin and Martin Short as well as her bestie Taylor Swift, was another familiar face that served as the officiant: Lil Dicky.

During a joint appearance on the February 26 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Blanco and his Friends Keep Secrets podcast cohost Lil Dicky, real name Dave Burd, shined some light on their longtime friendship, including the special roles they played in their respective weddings last year, per People.

Burd explained that he and Blanco were "heavily involved" in each other's weddings. He married wife Kristin Batalucco in August 2025 while Blanco and Gomez tied the knot the following month in what Burd described as "the best nights of our lives."

"We didn't each have a best man, but I officiated his and he gave the speech from like my male point of view at my wedding, and it was great," said Burd, adding that he was "very proud of myself" that it "really turnout out great."

Blanco said that the special speech was "incredible" and an "unbelievable" moment on his and Gomez's big day. However, Blanco revealed that his pal did have to make some last-minute changes to his officiant speech after a phone call from the bride as they were all getting ready for the ceremony.

"She said, 'Hey, just make sure Dave doesn't say anything about this part or this part because it's part of my speech,'" he said, noting how Gomez didn't want the speeches to overlap with each other. "And that was the whole opening three minutes of his speech."

Burd joked, "I wanted to push back, but it was her wedding."

Elsewhere in the interview, Blanco revealed how he saved the day after coming to his bride's rescue by finding the handwritten vows she lost days before the ceremony.
