Pop superstar Tate McRae and New Jersey Devils and U.S. men's ice hockey star Jack Hughes are reportedly "exclusively seeing each other" amid long speculation of their relationship, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Us Weekly on Wednesday (March 4).
The source claimed that Hughes, 24, "initially messaged her on IG and started a conversation."
“She thinks he is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together,” the source said. “She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on.”
McRae, 22, was first rumored to be dating Hughes when the two were spotted in New York City together after she attended a Devils game in December.
“They are making it work during this busy season, but hope to have more time together next month when his season ends,” the source said. “Tate thinks he’s really sweet and it’s going well so far.”
Hughes scored the golden goal in the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics final against Canada, McRae's home country, last month to give Team USA its first gold medal in ice hockey since the 1980 'Miracle on Ice' team. The Florida native has scored 41 points through 40 games which includes 12 goals and 29 assists.
