Nicole Kidman is speaking out about her split from ex-husband Keith Urban for the first time.

In a new interview with Variety published on Wednesday (March 11), the Big Little Lies actress shared brief comments on her divorce from the country music star. The former couple were married for nearly two decades before their September 2025 split, per Page Six.

"I'm always going to be moving toward what's good," she said. "What I'm grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That's that."

Kidman added that she chooses not to share too much about the split out of respect for her family and their "darling" daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15.

"Everything else I don't discuss out of respect," she said. "I'm staying in a place of, 'We are a family,' and that's what we'll continue to be."

Kidman's comments come nearly six months after she filed for divorce from the "Somebody Like You" singer in September after 19 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking primary custody of their daughters. A judge finalized the divorce on January 6, and the former couple reportedly agreed to co-parenting classes and to make significant decisions for their kids together.

Since their split, the Babygirl actress has reportedly been spending "a lot of time with her girls" and looking ahead to a "busy and exciting year professionally," a source told People in January.

"She is refreshed and optimistic about the new year," the insider said. "They're all settling back in to their routine. Things have been calm."
