Megan Thee Stallion’s recent performance during her Broadway show was cut short after she was sent to the hospital midway through the show.

The Houston native joined her castmates onstage on Tuesday night, March 31, for the latest performance of Moulin Rouge: The Musical! inside Al Hirshfeld Theatre in New York City. According to The Breakfast Club's Loren LoRosa, Meg appeared in a few scenes throughout the night until the play randomly stopped midway through. The play's staff apologized and told the audience to "stay inside and seated" as they handled the artist's situation backstage.

“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated," a spokesperson for Meg said. "We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”

Megan Thee Stallion made history as the first-ever female to take on the role of notorious nightclub director Harold Zidler in the international production's history. She was booked for a limited, eight-week run. Her final appearance was scheduled for May 17. It's not clear if Meg will continue until May. After she exited the show, the Grammy Award-winning artist was replaced by a male understudy.

Meg has had a busy year. She recently teamed up with Juvenile on the "B.B.B. (Remix)," which landed the record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was Juvenile's first entry in 20 years. In addition to her musical endeavors, the multifaceted rapper launched her own Popeyes franchise and had her own drink at Dunkin.
