OR3 is officially on the way.
On Thursday (April 2), one day after wiping her Instagram and sending fans into a frenzy about a new era, Olivia Rodrigo confirmed that she is dropping her third studio, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, album this summer. The record, which People reports was once again produced by Dan Nigro, will serve as a follow-up to her 2023 sophomore album GUTS.
The "Get Him Back!" singer, 23, also shared the cover art for her upcoming project, an action shot of her joyfully swinging through the air in a pink Peter Pan collar dress and platform heels.
"my third album 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love' is out June 12," she wrote in the caption. "I am so proud of this record and I can't wait for you to hear it. available for preorder now! 🩷"
In a recent interview with British Vogue, Rodrigo explained that the new record was "a creative challenge" writing from a "joyful place."
"When you're experiencing that you're connected to someone, or feeling really good, you're not in your head thinking about bittersweet poems," she said.
As for what fans can expect on the album, the Grammy winner said the record is full of "sad love songs," adding, "I realized all my favorite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them."
