Sombr is working out his "issues" with love while navigating stardom.

In a new interview with Nylon, the "Homewrecker" singer, whose real name is Shane Boose, shared a look into how his growing fame has impacted the way he goes about his everyday life, including dating and his personal life, per People.

"I'm still a man that feels emotions," he said. "I'm still very single. And I still deal with some issues that have to do with love."

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter, who was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards, explained that he is still learning how to move through a world that knows who he is and can see his every move.

"I just have to accept that I don't have privacy, which is not something I'll ever complain about because this is what I wanted," he said. "But I have to always act like I'm always being watched. Because I am."

Sombr's stardom was recognized during the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26. He was nominated for six awards throughout the night, taking home the trophy for Best New Artist (Alternative) as well as Alternative Album of the Year for his debut album I Barely Know Her.
