Sia recently shared an update via her social media about the "incredibly high" monthly child support she is required to pay amid her divorce from estranged husband Daniel Bernad.
"I'm a sober working mom trying to buy peace," the "Chandelier" singer, 50, wrote on Monday (April 7) on her X account. "I have primary custody of our son and since I am the only parent earning income, I still have to pay California's incredibly high child support."
The musician continued, "This has been a horrific year, but it taught me how to navigate incredibly difficult situations, prioritize my family and not absorb other people's negativity. To err is human, to forgive is divine."
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Sia agreed to pay her ex $42,500 a month in child support.
In 2024, the "Unstoppable" songstress secretly welcomed her third child, the first with Bernad, nearly one year before filing for divorce in March 2025. Per the outlet at the time, she cited "irreconcilable differences." The pair tied the knot in 2023, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
Sia also shares two older children, whom she adopted before her first marriage in 2019. Though the singer is usually very private about her personal life, she opened up in 2020 about her infertility struggles, telling InStyle that she had "wanted to be a mom her whole entire life."
