Katy Perry seems to get along well with her boyfriend Justin Trudeau's oldest son.

Xav Trudeau, the 18-year-old son of the former Canadian prime minister, shared some insight into his dynamic with the "Woman's World" singer on a recent episode of the Can't Be Censored podcast, per People. Echoing comments he previously made about how he and Perry have bonded amid her romance with his dad, the teen, whose full name is Xavier, explained that Perry has become someone he goes to for advice on his own music.

"When I'm really happy with a song [I] send it [to her]," he said. "She's always happy to give me advice or tell me what I should change."

As for how he feels about Perry and her relationship with the politician, Xav said she has been "great" and emphasized that he is glad his dad is happy. Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors in summer of 2025, shortly after her split from ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom.

"She's super nice. She's super down to earth. She's great," he said. "I think that my dad's happy, so that's important."

Xav also admitted that he doesn't have the same reaction as the public to seeing photos of his dad with the "Firework" singer, with Xav acknowledging that it's like any other photo of Trudeau. The couple went Instagram official in December and Trudeau has continued to make appearances on his girlfriend's social media ever since.

"My life is so crazy sometimes. I'm like, 'What is my life? What the hell?'" he said. "I just laugh. The reality of it is, it's my life. What can I do? What can I change?"

In addition to Xav, Trudeau shares daughter Ella-Grace, 17, and son Hadrian, 12, with estranged wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. Perry is a mom to 5-year-old daughter Daisy, whom she shares with Bloom.
