Sabrina Carpenter had a helping hand in her headlining set at Coachella thanks to some superstar cameos.
The "House Tour" singer took over the stage on Friday (April 10) for her first of two headlining performances at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, turning the Indio, California, festival into her very own Hollywood Hills-inspired "Sabrinawood," per People. The 90-minutes set also featured plenty of surprise cameos that added to the movie magic.
Carpenter ran across Sam Elliott in a black-and-white film that opened the set, the "Manchild" singer in a vintage car as she spoke with the A Star is Born actor, who played a police officer. Thelma & Louise actress Susan Sarandon later portrayed an older version of the Man's Best Friend hitmaker during an interlude in her set, while Carpenter brought in her Girl Meets World costar Corey Fogelmanis to play a waiter.
Additionally, she enlisted Will Ferrell to play an electrician as well as Samuel L. Jackson, who provided his voice to act as a spiritual guide helping Carpenter on her way.
Carpenter's return to the desert comes two years after she made her Coachella debut, and she expressed her (mild) disbelief at coming back as a headliner with the crowd. Justin Bieber and Karol G were also tapped as headliners for the two-weekend festival.
"I can't believe I'm headlining Coachella!" she said, before quipping, "I mean, I can a little bit, but it's nice to say that, right?"
Prior to the festival, Carpenter explained to Perfect magazine that her 2026 headlining set is "the most ambitious show I've ever done."
"It's probably the most time I've ever had to actually just sit down and talk about a show as I'm building it," she said, adding, "Most of the time, you're really quickly thrust into physical rehearsals, but this time around we started this process around seven months ago. So it's been a long journey. It will be very special."
