Taylor Swift is singing the praises of her friend Dakota Johnson.

The "Fate of Ophelia" singer penned a tribute to the Madame Web actress in the TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2026 list published on Wednesday (April 15). Swift said that even nearly two decades into her "fascinatingly varied and eclectic career," people continue to "fall in love with" Johnson, pointing toward her "refreshing honesty in a world of media-trained answers."

"Maybe it's her sing-song vocal delivery, serenely answering questions with such frank candor it makes you feel like maybe this girl just... can't lie?!" she said.

The Life of a Showgirl musician went on to "vouch for her realness" while describing Johnson as "one of the most empathetic people I've ever known," before listing "a few more things she can't do."

"She can't stop asking people questions about their lives, endlessly curious about everyone else's human experience. She can't stop challenging herself, taking newer and bolder risks like building her production company TeaTime Pictures. She can't stop exploring the most intricate relationship complexities like in last year's Splitsville and Materialists."

Swift concluded, "Captivating in front of the screen and inquisitive behind it, her unfailing truthfulness helps shape her ever evolving storytelling into art that feels as real and timeless as she is. She comes by it honestly."

According to People, Swift and Johnson's friendship, while not incredibly public, dates back years. They were photographed in New York City in 2016 on multiple occasions and were even seen grabbing dinner last year with their brothers.
