Macaulay Culkin's second proposal to fiancée Brenda Song went adorably awry after enlisting the help of their kids to pop the question again.
During an April 30 appearance on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast, the Running Point actress recounted the sweet way the Home Alone star proposed to her for the second time last August, per E! News. The couple have been engaged since early 2022, but Culkin seemingly wanted to re-propose with two special assistants, their sons Dakota, 5, and Carson, 4.
"I was coming home from Running Point and my mom texts me," she recalled. "She's like, 'Are you wearing makeup?' And I was like 'What?' They had flowers all by the front door and my two boys."
No amount of planning and decorating, however, can ensure that things will go smoothly when young children are involved, and that's exactly what happened when Culkin attempted to get their sons' help in proposing.
"I walk up and I'm like 'Oh my God' and he looked at my boys and he goes, 'OK what do you say to mama?'" she said. "And my youngest went, 'Ram's House!'"
Song explained that she is a big fan of the Los Angeles Rams and has passed the love on to her kids so it wasn't too much of a surprise that her son kept the cheers going despite Culkin practicing exactly what to say with them.
"He's so used to me doing callbacks because I'll go, 'Who's house?' And he'll go, 'Ram's House!' I've trained my kids well," she joked, adding that her fiancé told her, "We rehearsed and we rehearsed like, 'Will you marry us?'" but her son just "instinctively knew 'Ram's House.'"
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody actress recently shared rare insight into her relationship with the Saved! actor when she revealed the "pettiest things" they fight over.
