Theater-goers in New York City got a special mini *NSYNC reunion when Lance Bass joined Joey Fatone and company on stage to sing one of the beloved group's most popular hits.

On Tuesday (May 12), the audience for the Broadway jukebox musical & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theater got two boybanders for the price of one when Bass and Fatone sang *NSYNC's song "It's Gonna Be Me" with the cast of the show, per People. The reunion, which happened near the end of the performance and caused the crowd to break out in cheers, was shared by the musical's Instagram page.

Fatone was previously announced as the host leading a sing-along after the show throughout the month of May in honor of the viral "It's Gonna Be Me" meme, which circulates each year due to the way Justin Timberlake pronounced "me" in the track.

Bass narrowly avoided missing the reunion as he had just finished watching the Broadway musical Titanique and had to book it across Times Square to get to the theater.

"He made it! He made it!" Fatone told the audience, causing Bass to joke about his arduous journey to make it to the theater in time, quipping, "I almost got hit by six taxicabs, but I made it by the last note!"
