Madonna, Shakira & BTS Headlining First-Ever World Cup Final Halftime Show

The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is getting a major musical boost from some global superstars.

On Wednesday (May 13), the organization announced that Shakira, Madonna and BTS are co-headlining the first-ever halftime show for the World Cup, per NPR. Presented by Global Citizen and curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show on July 19 at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey

According to the official FIFA World Cup Instagram account, the halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, with $1 from each ticket sold to the World Cup matches being donated to the fund in its efforts to rase $100 million to "expand access to quality education and football for children around the world."

In a statement, Madonna and her fellow artists commended the fundraising efforts and importance of childhood education.

"Without education, children are denied opportunity before they can even have a chance," the "Bring Your Love" singer said. "Every child deserves access to quality learning — because education expands possibilities and creates lasting change."
