The United States Men's National Team (USMNT) has revealed its 26-player roster for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Coach Mauricio Pochettino announced the selections during a live event in New York City on Tuesday (May 26). The roster includes notable players such as Gio Reyna, Joe Scally, and Alejandro Zendejas.

The event, held at the Rooftop at Pier 17, was a celebration of American soccer, with fans gathering to witness the announcement. The roster reveal was part of U.S. Soccer's "Never Chase Reality" campaign, which encourages players and fans to push beyond expectations. U.S. Soccer Chief Commercial Officer David Wright stated, "This event is about more than just unveiling a roster. It's about channeling that energy and bringing people together behind the group heading into the World Cup."

The roster features a mix of experienced players and newcomers, with 13 players making their World Cup debut. Among the notable inclusions are Christian Pulisic from AC Milan, Weston McKennie from Juventus, and Tyler Adams from AFC Bournemouth. However, the exclusion of Lyon midfielder Tanner Tessmann and Real Salt Lake's Diego Luna surprised many fans. ESPN reported that Tessmann's omission might be due to a recent muscle injury.

As the USMNT prepares to compete on home soil for the first time in 32 years, the excitement and anticipation among fans continue to grow. Before the World Cup kicks off, fans will be able to catch the team in action against Senegal on May 31 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Germany on June 6 in Chicago, Illinois.

The USMNT will play its opening match of the World Cup against Paraguay on Friday, June 12, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
