Travis Kelce loves sharing his passions with fiancée Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end detailed his recent date night out with Swift on the Wednesday (May 27) episode of his and brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, sharing how he brought the Life of a Showgirl musician along to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers go up against the New York Knicks, per People.
"Getting Tay back to Cleveland and showing her my roots is always something I love doing," he explained.
After Jason wondered if Travis took Swift to their former neighborhood of Cleveland Heights, the NFL star confirmed he has shown her "the Heights" but noted they had a different item on their agenda for this visit, saying, "Not this time, not this time. We came in strictly for the game this time."
Travis also set the record straight that he wasn't trying to push Swift into being a Cleveland fan but instead share his passion for sports with his other half.
"This wasn't me trying to persuade Taylor into being a Cleveland sports fan with me," he said. "This was me just having a fun date night, knowing that I love going to basketball games."
He added that he loves bringing his fiancée "into the sports world that I appreciate."
"That's why you've seen us at US Open tennis matches. I've had her at other baseball games," he said. "I just enjoy bringing her to experience a lot of the fun that I've always had."
Swift and Travis announced their engagement in August 2025 after two years of dating and are reportedly set to tie the knot this summer in New York City. In a recent podcast, the groom-to-be made a rare comment about what he is looking forward to about their upcoming wedding.
