Zayn Malik is speaking out after a viral video capturing a tense moment with a crowd outside a hotel.

The "Pillowtalk" singer took to Instagram to set the record straight after TMZ recently shared a video of him confronting a crowd outside of his hotel in Manchester, England, telling them to "get the f--- out of the way" as he tried to reach a car, per People. Someone from his team could be seen in the clip asking those gathered to "please... watch out" and noted that the musician "[couldn't] get in the car" because of the crowd.

In an Instagram comment, Malik hit back at claims he was berating fans, instead pointing out that troublemakers weren't actual fans and calling them "stalkers" who are ruining the experience for real fans.

"Let's just get the facts straight - the fans were and always are respectful and amazing - the issue was the multiple fully grown men that were blocking the doors of the hotel and the car for 10 minutes not letting us or security out," he said, adding, "It is not safe and not okay and they ruin it for the real fans."

The One Direction alum was in Manchester to perform on May 24, one day after kicking off his KONNAKOL tour in London and weeks after he announced that he was canceling the U.S. dates of the tour following an undisclosed illness. While he said in an update that he was "at home recovering [...] doing well," he explained that he was "[reducing] the number of shows" on tour.

"I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can," he said. "I'm really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon."
