Olivia Rodrigo doesn't have much interest in fashion's biggest night.
The "drop dead" singer, 23, spoke about the 2026 Met Gala during a recent interview on The New York Times' Popcast podcast, and revealed her reason for not being in attendance at the event in New York City, per Page Six. Despite going to a Met Gala after party, Rodrigo skipped out on making an appearance at the event itself. She has attended the Met Gala three times in the past, most recently in 2023, the outlet reports.
After she admitted she's "not really a fashion girl" and host Jon Caramanica noted that "many people who attend the Met Gala are not fashion people," Rodrigo clarified that the annual gala isn't really her scene at the moment.
"This is my third album, I don't feel like I need to do things that don't bring me joy or inspire me or fuel me or feel aligned with my values," she said, adding, "It's not as fun or exciting anymore."
