Olivia Rodrigo is diving into the highs and lows of a relationship on her latest album.

The "drop dead" singer, 23, left no stone unturned in her new album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, her third studio album which dropped Friday (June 12). The drop, which follows her 2023 sophomore album GUTS, comes shortly after she dished out dating and relationship (and even post-relationship) advice during her iHeartRadio special "u+me=advice4evr" live show.

In a message shared to Instagram, Rodrigo explained that her new album is a "time capsule" that holds both the good and the bad of falling in love.

"I love this album so much and I am so thrilled that it's finally yours," she wrote. "The record is a time capsule of a relationship in all of its highs and lows. It's my attempt at capturing love from both sides of the coin. The hope and the disappointment. The insanity and the clarity. The entanglement and the unraveling."

"The cure" singer also shared gratitude for her "musical confidant" and producer Dan Nigro, saying she had "the most wonderful time making all of these songs with him," as well as everyone who contributed lyrically and musically on the project and those who helped bring her vision to life.

Rodrigo concluded her note with a word of thanks to her fans for listening to the songs she has put so much of herself into.

"It sounds corny but I truly feel so lucky that I get to share in this journey with you all," she said. "The idea of someone listening to these songs and letting them into their world is the most wonderful thing I can think of. Here's to hoping!"

The "Vampire" singer is also preparing to take her new album on the road starting later this year on her The Unraveled Tour. See if she is coming to your city.
