Jennifer Lopez is awaiting her dues any day now.

During a recent appearance on Kareem Rahma's SubwayTakes internet series, the "Let's Get Loud" singer, 56, spoke about how the plunging green Versace dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards led to the creation of Google Image Search the following year, a claim that she said has been acknowledged as true by executives like Google co-founder Sergey Brin, per People.

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt previously called the search for Lopez's iconic ensemble the "most popular query" the company had seen, making it "apparent" that an image search feature was an important next step because "people wanted more than just text," the outlet reports.

"I wore the Versace dress. Because people searched for it, they invented Google Images," she said. "Sergey and all the guys who invented Google confirmed."

Google Images has since become one of the search engine's most popular features, so much so that Lopez hilariously explained that Google should pay her for her services.

"I feel like they owe me a check," she said. "They should've done that for karma because they're probably trillionaires or whatever... Just to be nice."

Elsewhere in the chat, Lopez shared her hot take on breakups and why they should be celebrated with a "party" rather than mourned.
