Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd are addressing their relationship in their own words. On the latest episode of Fudd’s iHeart Women’s Sports podcast, Fudd Around and Find Out, the Dallas Wings teammates shared that they are no longer together.

“Paige and I have something that we want to share with everyone,” Fudd said. “We are no longer together.”

Bueckers explained that the split happened more than a year ago, before Fudd was selected by the Wings with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.

“We were not together before she got drafted. So all of those narratives can go to bed,” Bueckers said. “She was not drafted because she was my girlfriend. She was drafted because she deserved it. She’s an amazing human, amazing basketball player. And we’re still friends. We’re still cool.”
“We played an entire season together,” she continued. “We’re the utmost professional. We care about basketball.”

Bueckers also used the moment to speak out against the negativity the pair has seen online, including messages sent to their families and friends. “We don’t stand for hate of any kind,” she said. “If you support us, why would you hate on our teammates? Like, why would you hate on our friends? Why would you hate on our family?”

“Sometimes in life, there’s just seasons. And sometimes in life, two people are just at different points of their life,” Bueckers added. “We still support each other. We’re still going to be great friends. We’re still going to be great teammates.”

Fudd made it clear that this is all they plan to say on the subject. “We know you guys are curious and probably have a ton of questions, but we’ve addressed everything that we need to and the rest will stay with us,” she said.

The pair even came up with a sign-off with help from their teammates: a broken heart followed by a fist bump. As they explained, they’re “not together no more, but we’re still gang.”

The rest of the episode is a fun, wide-ranging conversation about basketball. Bueckers, who was making her long-awaited debut on the show, opened up about her first WNBA playoff run, winning gold with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup, and the Wings’ upcoming move to Dallas’ American Airlines Center. Fudd reflected on becoming the first rookie to win the WNBA All-Star Three-Point Contest and her plans to play overseas this winter.
